Great Salt Lake Minerals relies primarily on clean solar energy for its mineral production processes. In addition, GSL receives most of its electricity from environmentally favorable cogeneration technology, and uses a bio-diesel blend of fuel for its vehicles.

Great Salt Lake Minerals’ production process is "environmentally friendly and sustainable," according to The Fertilizer Institute. Great Salt Lake Minerals’ fertilizer processing uses no chemicals. Water and unused minerals are returned safely to the lake in their natural state as approved by the Utah Department of Environmental Quality. Because we generate no toxic waste, we are classified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as permitted to be exempt from most state and federal inspections and reporting.

GSL’s organic-approved nutrients are used by organic and conventional farmers who grow fruits, vegetables, nuts, and other wholesome foods to feed America.
